this is good advice for everyone. any phrase or comment can be removed from its primary context and misinterpreted in ways that come back to haunt the writer. and that’s assuming that the writer’s intentions were not to harm — never write anything negative about your peers (faculty or staff) or students. understand that EVERYTHING you put on the internet is PUBLIC. there are no passwords or encryptions strong enough to protect nastiness. and trying to hide behind anonymity is just dumb on so many levels.
